Join MassEquality at JoinTheImpact's National Movement against Prop 8.
Saturday, Nov. 15th at 1:30 at City Hall Plaza at Government Center.
JoinTheImpact has organized rallies across the nation to send a strong message of unity and equality. The rally here in Boston is of particular importance, since Massachusetts is the birthplace of marriage equality in America. Please join me in showing our support for marriage equality nationwide this Saturday.

So as many of you may know, about 2 years ago I was in a car accident. I had a pretty nasty case of whiplash, and had to go through about 4 months of physical therapy. My neck has been mostly fine since then- if I ever got too stressed out or wore heels for too long, it would hurt, but nothing major. However, for the last 3 weeks I'm in tons of pain again, today I woke up and can barely move my neck. Boo. |

Rainy weekend at KRF. We were closed yesterday, but I managed to get lots of cleaning done at the house, and it was nice to have a mid-season day off :) |

Just about everyone who knows me knows that I am very 'blue'. I've been following this election since the candidates announced that they were running, through every primary and caucus. In the spirit of being an informed voter, I've been watching the Republican National Convention the past few days and I must admit, after hearing only the first half of the speeches, I'm genuinely scared of the prospect of another Republican president. At one time I respected John McCain, but now I'm left wondering where he lost his way. Listening to Mitt Romney's idea of a "conservative America" inspired me to stop eating dinner to donate money to Obama's campaign.
I know politics is a touchy subject with a lot of people, so I'm not going to beg anyone to vote one way or the other, I just hope everyone does their homework in regards to this election, we have too much at stake.

The Dark Knight was absolutely incredible-go see it, now. Heath Ledger was perfection. Makes me even more depressed that he's gone.

I've been hiding in my bathroom for hours now surrounded by our collection of swords. So far, they haven't tried getting in here, but the sounds coming from outside are terrifying enough- I'm pretty sure my neighbor and his kids didn't make it. Nick is at work downtown. He called me earlier to tell me that he was safe, but since then I haven't been able to get a hold of him, and I'm starting to get nervous. I can only hope that he's hiding somewhere safe, or is making a run for it. I'm starting to go a little mad in here, not really knowing what's going on...too afraid to move.
If I don't hear from Nick soon, I might have to make a run for it myself..... |
